Text about Karma
What do Karma do?
Karma is a food rescue app that allows retailers to sell their surplus food to consumers with a discount - instead of having great food go to waste.
What are Karma’s best tips for climate action?
Don’t waste food. If food waste was a country, it would be the 3rd biggest CO2 emission contributing country in the world.
Climate actions Karma take:
Our core business is to reduce and prevent food waste in the food industry, so we see our own growth completely interlinked with positive climate action. As a society, we are throwing away 1.3 billon tons of perfectly good, edible food each year. Our product aims to tackle this issue by allowing users to buy surplus food at a discount price. Outside our core business, we are also aware of our own impact on the planet. We carbon offset our energy and any essential travel, and of course, we're always eating surplus!
